Additional Hair Care Information:

Ginger is one spice that adds a tangy flavor to any mouth-watering cuisine. However, did you know that apart from its significance in the culinary world, ginger also serves as an excellent element for proper hair care?

Ginger has a long history of medicinal and culinary uses. This multifaceted herb can be used in a variety of forms (e.g., fresh, oil, tincture, capsule, and extract).

Using this spice to achieve better hair growth is a century-old practice that comes from Ayurvedic medicine. Not only does it treat dandruff and itchy scalp but it also prevents the onset of hair loss and hair thinning problems.

With its stimulating property, ginger encourages proper circulation in the scalp. By so doing, blood can freely flow towards the hair roots, carrying with it nutrients and oxygen which is essential for the growth of fuller, thicker, and healthier hair follicles.

Apart from that, ginger spice also contains essential vitamins and minerals like potassium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, and zinc which are all helpful in attaining shinier and healthier hair. It is an excellent source of fatty acids which are needed to prevent dull, brittle, and lifeless strands.

Ayurvedic Treatment Using Ginger

Sesame oil and ginger combined to create a natural hair rinse is one of the most popular Ayurvedic medications to achieve healthier hair strands. This simple hair care recipe helps alleviate dandruff while boosting blood circulation in the scalp.

Ingredients: 2 teaspoons of ginger root, 1/2 of cup of sesame oil, and 4 drops of liquid glycerine

Procedure: Extract the sap of the ginger root. Grate 2 teaspoons of fresh ginger root. Extract the juice from the pulp. Then add the cup of sesame oil and the 4 drops of liquid glycerine. Combine the mixture thoroughly using a glass stirrer or a fork.

Directions: Massage the ginger hair rinse on your scalp and leave it on for about 5-10 minutes. Afterwards, rinse your hair thoroughly with lukewarm water. To remove the residue and the strong smell, wash it with a natural shampoo and rinse off again.

Regular use of a hair rinse with ginger as the main ingredient will not only improve the quality of the hair but will also nourish the hair follicles from within.
